Audi A8 (1994 - 2002) S8 40V quattro 4d Auto Owner Review

I chose this car for the luxury ride and interior space, including the large boot. Another main factor was the aluminium body and chassis as being an older car it's a lot less likely to rot like a steel car. I wanted the S8 as I expect them to hold their value better than the standard spec cars. I've now owned this car for nearly a year and have had no major problems which should be expected these days. There are some known faults, one being a gearbox switch which seems to be age related but so far I've not experienced this fault. It is smooth and comfortable to drive and even after 16 years there are no rattles inside and everything looks and works as it should. The twin pane glass provides excellent sound insulation from the outside with only minimal tyre noise, depending on the surface.
