I didn't get taken in by the Mercedes vs. BMW hype. Understated, yet classy.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
This car attracts more interest than any other I have owned. Old and young compliment me on my choice.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, Yes, Yes. I have looked at others and this is the most complete package.
What are you likely to buy next?
Have already ordered another A8. A 4.2 twin turbo diesel. Porsche performance and 40 mpg. What more does anyone want?

Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes. Got it on contract hire and the monthly repayments were less than some other very "ordinary" cars.

What was the dealer like?
Great. Product knowledge was fantastic and they were able to answer all my questions.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
I've had it for 3 years and it still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. It is awesome! Most times you drive it like a chauffeur would drive a limo. Then when the mood takes you, you stick the gear selector into "sport" the suspension setting on "dynamic" and have some fun!
What's it like to park?
Despite its size, I have found it one of the easiest cars to park. It has parking sensors front and back and a very handy camera mounted on the boot so you can get into the tightest spots.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
One of the electronic parts in the MMI went wrong and had to be replaced but the dealer gave me a replacement A8 whilst mine was off the road. No quibbles.
What's most practical about your car?
Everything! It has bags of room for passengers and all their luggage. It has good performance and plenty of cornering ability. The multitude of toys aren't bad either!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The voice recognition stuff especially when used with the sat nav. A great way to show off!
