Summary
What does this car say about you?
Couldn't care less.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They probably wonder why I sold the Jag.
Would you buy this car again and why?
My first real car was a Ford Zephyr 6 in 1964. Driving that gave me a sense of real exhilaration which I thought could never be repeated. Until now. I hope I never have to replace this car.
What are you likely to buy next?
Audi A8 6.3.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
In a word, incredible. I have had lots of nice cars in the past including 6 Jags, 5 & 6 litre V8s etc. This car is in a different league entirely. Far more comfortable than my last XJ6, it just feels bolted to the road on motorways, ignores crosswinds and does exactly what you want, when you want. Then there's that W12 motor. Totally silent at all speeds you wonder whether it is actually running. Until you put your foot down. Then you hear it for just a second or two until you hit the speed limit. 70mph feels like walking pace. This must be the most under-rated car in the world. I love it.
What's it like to park?
Well, if you can't park you shouldn't buy a big car. Parking is not helped by the shallow rear window. But there are door mirrors and parking sensors so no excuses for getting it wrong.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Heated rear screen is not working. I don't consider this a major problem and will get it fixed whenever it needs to get serviced or before the winter. Whichever comes first.
What's most practical about your car?
Space. This is the first car I have ever had where I needed to move the seat forward to drive. Large airy cabin and huge boot to cater for all our stuff.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The ability to control the ride height and comfort settings is top of my list. I have had most of the other stuff in previous cars. There are more ways of changing gear than you can shake a stick at. But there's no need to bother with any of them really.
