Audi Cabriolet 2.6 E 2d (1997/R) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Good value for money second hand.
Costs
Don't expect any more than 28mpg under normal driving. Annual servicing costs are high with the dealership.
-
On the road
Driving
Pleasing smooth & quiet V6 under normal driving conditions, although not as easy to drive as the Ford Focus. Steering not as sharp as Jaguar models (or Focus!), but is sure-footed on good roads. Body shake on rough or potholed roads to be expected.
Performance
Silky smooth V6 never gets ruffled under normal driving. Very quick when driven hard.

Living with it
Reliability
Minor niggles such as faulty gauges, but overall no serious problems to date
Image
Perhaps not as fashionable as they used to be, but still desirable.
Comfort
Ride is as smooth as the engine. Leather seats are comfy in the front & hold you well, although passengers in the rear may find themselves sliding around.
