Audi Coupe 2.0 16V 3d (1994/L) Owner Review

Economy
Value
A 10 yr old rock solid Audi for the price of a 7 year old Escort!
Costs
Keep away from the main dealers, and look for the small specialists like All Audi in Bristol. ALSO search the net for second hand parts... a new speedo costs £200 plus VAT, but I forgot the whole console for £50 all in.. and it's easier to fit it whole.

On the road
Driving
Cornering excellent - can throw it around and stay on the road.
Performance
Good over 3000rpm. but too heavy for it's 140bhp. Disappointed that it's been tricky to find suitable mods for uprating it.

Living with it
Reliability
90,000 miles - running wonderfully.
Image
I LOVE the look and shape. Mine's "hibiscus" (i.e. deep red) ... looks great.
Comfort
Great - might firm the ride with harder springs some time. Seats are great- motorway cruising excellent.

Security and Service
Security
Paid £120 to have Cat1 immobilizer fitted at insistence of insurance co. But it's not like Impreza etc that attracts thieves.
Service
Stay away from expensive main dealers
