Audi Coupe 2.0E 8V 3d (1996/N) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Costly when I bought it for the age, but I had always wanted one and it was mint. No regrets, these cars hold their value quite well and I'd rather have one of these over a similar spec (and oh so common) 3 series BMW.
Costs
Rever really had to spend money on it, but when I have got quotes from main dealers I nearly cried. Some good specialists out there make life a lot easier.

Driving
Pleasure to drive, this car is great on the motorway and loves the top gears.
Performance
The 8v is obviously not going to be mind-blowing, but it's not exactly slow either! It certainly won't embarass you against boy racers. Handles nicely.

Living with it
Reliability
I have never had a problem with the engine, it has only done around 72,000 miles, so I don't expect any problems there on a car that has the Audi symbol on the grill! Service the car every 6000 miles as well.
Image
Again, I would much rather have an Audi Coupe than the 'ten-a-penny' 3-Series BMW. When you see other coupe owners, you slow down and have a good look don't you? Still look great and my fellow 23yr olds are still driving 'max'd-up Saxos'. No competition.
Comfort
Half-leather, full electrics, I personally think that the cabin and rear are quite spacious for a coupe. The ride is ok, though a little rough on the suspension... but that's a sporty coupe for you!

Security and Service
Security
On top of the standard alarm/central locking I have added a CAT 1 remote alarm/immobiliser so I had to give it top marks.
