Audi Coupe 2.2 quattro 3d (1989/F) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
It was a little over £20,000 from memory - not to bad considering it is a Quattro and a TT is a lot more money. In the day it, was top of its tree - the old Celica was an option, or a 325 BMW.
Costs
Not a cheap car to keep, but quality and reliability make it worth it. Be aware it does circa 25mpg.

On the road
Driving
Everything is in the right position, however has mild understeer combined with ageing suspension and soft breaks - rely on your talents as a driver.
Performance
A sub 10 second 60 sprint and a clocked 140mph means it still pulls well, but who cares - the noise from the exhaust makes it feel 10 times better.

Living with it
Reliability
Wearable parts have only been replaced. What can I say?
Image
Not as fetching as the old Quattro, but still a modern classic that certainly catches the eye of an enthusiast.
Comfort
The best seats in the world, no question, even with no lumbar you feel like the seats are made for you. The ride is supple, if not bordering saggy!

Security and Service
Security
No deadlocks or alarm. I have had a Clifford concept 300 fitted for peace of mind. WATCH WHERE YOU PARK!
Service
For some reason, all the RS6 and S8 toffs get brushed aside when I come in the showroom. Weird ha!
