Audi Coupe 2.3 20V quattro 3d (1990/H) Owner Review

Economy
Value
If you can get a good one, I doubt you'll pay so little for so good a car.
Costs
Thirsty if driven hard. G18 insurance. Excellent spares network means you can avoid paying main dealer prices on most items.

On the road
Driving
Has power on tap and Quattro handling inspires confidence. A real driver's car.
Performance
Average performance at low revs. Things only get exciting once the counter passes 3500rpm.

Living with it
Reliability
Excellent, given the car's age. As long as it's well-kept, you should expect no problems worth robbing a bank to pay for.
Image
Refined, elegant and understated. Stands up well against flashier contemporaries. Not to everyone's taste (a good thing)?
Comfort
A suprisingly smooth ride given its handling characteristics. Excellent on long journeys.

Security and Service
Security
No security devices as standard, so depends what after-market measures the car has. Good locks though.
Service
Find an established Audi dealer, whose mechanics take an interest in the older models and you're in good hands.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Audi's 20v is arguably their best. Mine still sounds sweet with well over 150k miles on the clock.
Other
Small problems can be expensive to fix (especially electric), but so far, nothing to keep it off the road.
Ownership
