Audi Coupe 2.6E 3d Auto (1995/M) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Picked mine up for £2k, spend another k on tyres, preventative maintenance and fixing a couple of small niggles - not bad for this car with 75k miles and full Audi history.
Costs
Fuel economy is not bad for a V6 - don't use Audi dealers and do most of my own maintenance.
-
On the road
Driving
Refined, smooth, swift, solid - hmm… very nice.
Performance
I usually seem to have enough power, although for such a heavy car, a few extra ponies wouldn't hurt, but overall it's ok.

Living with it
Reliability
So far so good, except left me stranded last week with daft ignition switch that needed to be entirely replaced.
Image
It seems to have this classic, understated, timeless look. Somehow it just looks right.
Comfort
Could do with adjustable steering column, front seats are good and I never have to sit in the back.

Security and Service
Security
Door and steering locks seem sturdy and well made - it had a Toad alarm fitted when I bought it.
Service
Dealer parts are expensive, but I buy most of my consumables from the likes of Euro Car Parts for much less than at Audi. I don't use main dealers for servicing or repairs.
