Audi E-Tron SUV (2019 - 2022) Technik 50 quattro auto 5d Owner Review

This is my first ev but I've looked at a few before my purchase. Teslas felt like kit cars, BMW's are mega money (1X) as are Porsche's. The etron looks like great value. It is defo the way cars are going to go in the future.
PROS: The first thing you'll notice is the silence. It's refreshing and relaxing for the driver and the passengers.
Being Audi, there are no squeaks or rattles in fact you'll go far to get a better built vehicle.
Performance is more than adequate with beautiful, linear power delivery at any speed.
The chargers at both sides are amazingly handy.
It looks and feels like a quality vehicle with minimal ev looks.
Superb ride quality from the air suspension.
CONS: THE RANGE IS CRAP. Ive written this in capitals as I thought I could live with it but in the real world I believe that this is an excellent 2nd car and NOT the family battle bus I've been used to in the past… If you can live with the restricted range then happy days, you'll have an amazing driving experience, but if not…you have been warned!
Glitchy MMI stuff going on. Seems to self fix but annoying.
My used vehicle came without the Audi code which comes with the keys, well, what a fiasco to get that sorted….5 phone calls to audi connect, my v5 and my passport, YES MY PASSPORT…NO nothing else would do! How bizarre. I told them they should copy BMW who just need you in the car with a key to register.
Dull looks which tend to look a little like the left-overs bins from Audis previous models.
Weight.
CONCLUSION: I think this is a stop-gap in the future history of ev's. The motors are amazing giving a superb driving experience. In the future I could see them being powered by a Hydrogen fuel cell removing the battery weight and effectively giving range similar, if not better than, combustion engine vehicles of today. I look forward to that possible evolution but until then I will enjoy my ev but not entirely due to the dreaded 'RANGE ANXIETY'.
