Summary
What does this car say about you?
A non-conventional family man with a bit of style
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They love the looks and enquire how I manage to fit 11 & 6 year old boys in the back - only just! It has been referred to as a hairdressers sports car.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No - I need something bigger.
What are you likely to buy next?
A sporty saloon. Perhaps a BMW 330i, Mercedes C320 or A4

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£13,995
When did you buy the car?
May 2005
Did you get a good deal and why?
A good deal after a bit of haggling
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Styling and colour. It is a rare Nogaro blue. Very different to most TT's on the road and stands out.
What was the dealer like?
Nothing special. Saw it on the internet, called them, drove down, sealed the deal and drove away. No rapport built as not particularly customer service orientated. Won't be going back.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It is quick with a punchy, torquey engine (if a little muted) making overtaking simple. Quattro provides good grip but oversteers a little too much and not as involving as a Nissan 350Z or Mazda RX8
What's it like to park?
No problems to park as not a big car
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The cam chain tensioner (not the cam belt one) has been replaced. The part alone costs £300
What's most practical about your car?
The boot is a decent size for a coupe and has split folding seats.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Upgraded 18 inch RS4 wheels
