This is my second Audi TT. The first was a 2003 3.2 DSG that I bought new and ended up regretting it. It was a great car but very thirsty and I lost a fortune when I sold it. Since then I have had a Golf GTI and a Golf GTD.
I know the purists go on about the performance of petrol over diesel but, for me, the diesel engine is the one to go for. In the real world 0-60 times are pointless and it's actually about being able to overtake.
This TT is better in every way than the Mk1 and the torque is as good as the Mk1 3.2. If you factor in the cost of tax and insurance then it's a no-brainer. The Audi TT TDI a fabulous car.
