Summary
What does this car say about you?
Well the new TT is far more aggressive looking than the previous version, interior build quality is a huge improvement over the predecessor and the chassis has far greater sporting aspirations. The car is a real head-turner, especially in the Garnet Red colour that I've spec'd.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Love the looks, even if it isn't the most practical car to live with. But then that isn't why you buy a car like this, is it?
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. It's a car for a particular time of your life to be honest.
What are you likely to buy next?
A choice of many, but very possible the Maserati GranTurismo.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£26,500
When did you buy the car?
June 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
Actually sourced the dealer via an online Agent who scoured the country for the best deal given my desired spec.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Magnetic Ride Control was the deciding factor. Wanted a fun car for the odd track day and generally entertaining driving
What was the dealer like?
Very happy with the service even though I never actually met the dealer face to face. They even sent me a voucher for a professional photographer a month after the car was delivered.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Just like I expected. A fun car to drive with very accessible power, whilst being able to average in the high 30's (mpg) when not using the turbo in mixed driving. The handling is impressive for a FWD car. No understeer to date and the sports damping mode keeps the car incredible flat through the corners. I actually find myself going around roundabouts more times than I should, just for the thrill of it!
What's it like to park?
It's a small car, but with high sides and wide wheels, so beware of high curbs.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing gone wrong so far (but then I wouldn't expect anything too after 5 months).
What's most practical about your car?
It's a 2+2 TT, so not much really. Does have split folding rear seats however, resulting in very useful storage space for those road trips.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
That Magnetic Ride Control. Instantly changes the cars dynamics between lotus elise and comfortable sports car.
