What does this car say about you?

Somebody who appreciates style and a good quality machine, who wants more than a hot hatchback.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

    Love it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, if practicality is not the main focus of your vehicle the TT is an all round excellent driver's car, which I would recommend to all.

What are you likely to buy next?

Unsure yet but definitely something from the Audi or Volkswagen range.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £20,000

When did you buy the car?

    March 2012

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes, other than magnetic ride every other extra was fitted. The car was purchased for circa £36,000 new approximately 18 months before I purchased it, largely due to over £7,000 worth of optional extras fitted.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I have always liked the Audi marque because of proven build quality and reliability. I have also been a great admirer of the Mk2 TT's looks and performance since it was released in 2006.

    What was the dealer like?

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Faultless.. The 2.0 TFSI engine has great torque right through the rev range with no turbo lag, pulling strongly in all gears. Although 200bhp doesn't make it the most powerful car in its class, it is still a very fast car. With subtle additions such as the short throw shifter it is easy to get the most out of the car. The TT's ride is firm, yet not harsh with light and balanced handling which makes cornering light work for the TT with no drama. Some could comment that the cornering is a touch robotic, however it inspires confidence in the driver when cornering and is also safe when driving fast, being very forgiving in the unlikely event of anything going wrong.

    What's it like to park?

For a small coupe of this size the Audi TT has excellent visibility front and rear when parking. With the addition of parking sensors and electric mirrors the car is very easy to park.

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Did develop a minor fault where on occasions the head unit turned off and on intermittently, this turned out to be a fault in the ignition wiring circuit and was replaced under warranty.

What's most practical about your car?

Audi TTs aren't typically renowned for their practicality, however with a driver and one passenger there is a lot of cabin space and is rather very comfortable.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    Adaptive Bi-Xenons, sat-nav, iPod Kit.
