Naveed is a commercial content writer focusing on testing automotive products for Bauer’s motoring titles, CAR, and Parkers.
His responsibilities include investigating and assessing the raft of technology and cleaning equipment designed to keep your car healthy and clean, and to make your life easier.
Naveed’s has a huge affinity with cars on a scientific level. He graduated with a BEng in Mechanical Engineering in 2015 and then went on to complete a PhD in Chemical and Process Engineering in 2019, so research and testing is his area of expertise.
While COVID brought almost everything to a halt, it kickstarted Naveed’s career online, as he started his YouTube channel where he explores performance SUVs, hot hatches, and everything in between. Following his success, he began freelance writing for Hotcars and autoevolution, and eventually found his way to Bauer’s automotive hub in August 2024.
Nowadays Naveed finds pleasure in putting automotive products through their paces, from finding the best quality dashcam or the most effective car shampoo Naveed has got you covered. His experimental methods are extensive and thorough, leaving nothing to chance in the pursuit of high-quality consumer advice.
Naveed will find any excuse to go on a road trip, whether it be buzzing around the NC500 or carving through the Swiss alps, he loves travelling, and cars are a huge part of creating that experience. One of his highlights is standing over the Grand Canyon having driven a Dodge Challenger from Los Angeles to get there. He has a fridge full of magnets from his travels, and soon he may have so many that he will have to buy another fridge!
Away from cars, Naveed enjoys watching sports – Formula 1 of course – and playing board games, though he is a self-professed novice in these matters.
Naveed’s buying tips for readers
“Don’t always go for the cheapest product just because it’s the most affordable. This might work for consumable items, but some cheap products can do more harm. It’s always worth investing once and never again, as cheaper products can cost you more in the long run.”
“Always read the reviews. Other customers are your friend, and they have already used the product so it’s always worth reading their experience. It’s safe to say that product reviews are also hugely helpful when deciding on the product that is ideal for your needs.”
