What does this car say about you?
I like quality and dont mind paying for it. Im practical but still like sporty looks and speed. Its funky as its not your usual 5 door grandad car - (sorry grandad)
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
The look is not to everyones taste but that has significantly improved since it first came out. Everybody loves a BMW
Would you buy this car again and why?
Probably not, I love the 1 series its just that I never buy the same model twice, doesnt feel like a new car otherwise!

3 Series, A3 or C Class. Def something German

Did you get a good deal and why?
No and didnt expect one. Dont think that you can get a good deal on a BMW anywhere. If your after a bargain then dont get a BMW
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Image, economical, sportiest looking 5 Door i could find
What was the dealer like?
Was bought from a car supermarket so they not that pushy as their targets are not car sales and their prices are fixed. They push for extras like extended guarantees and insurance which is how they make their commision.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Amazingly powerful acceleration considering its heavy weight and diesel engine. Very economical for a turbo 2.0. Its very stable and solid as you would expect from a German manufacture.
What's it like to park?
Rear parking sensors are great for tight spots. Rear view is somewhat obstructed as rear windows are quite small. That is a minor point so nothing to worry about

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Not yet. not keen on run flats as it makes upgrading to bigger alloys a very expensive thing! No spare tyre available
What's most practical about your car?
I have always been a hatchback kind of guy so this 5 door thing is new to me and its great! Rear leg room is not great but everything else is great!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Rear parking sensors and leather sport seats. Front armrest is great too.
