BMW 1-Series Hatchback (2011 - 2019) 116d Sport (Business Media) 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
After a my previous 2 cars, first spent 3 out of 9 months in the dealership and second was involved in an accident, decided to upgrade to a more premium car. Love the car, the way it drives, features and build quality - except an annoying rattle from the b piller but covered up with loud music.
Packed full of features, upgraded to the driver comfort pack and business media. Everything you would ever need! Satnav works fantastic and has yet to get me lost, cruise control good for the motorway miles and reversing sensors really help with rear visibility when parking due to the small back window. Large blindspot in the c pillar thought would be an issue but pulling out of awkward junctions and merge into traffic, the shape of the rear side windows really help with this
Commute almost 40 miles each day with a mix of town and motorway driving and average about 55 mpg (just averaged 65 on a round trip to Hampshire from Kent in stop start traffic) and only costs about £70 a month to fill up. It's cheap to tax -£30 a year. Its relatively cheap to insure too averaging less than average premium for a 22 year old and considerably less than my previous 2013 Renault Clio 1.2.
Brought the car on a finance deal and at the end, seriously considering paying the final payment and keeping the car for many years to come
How reliable do you find the car?
No actual mechanical problems except some over sensitive tyre pressure monitors and software update needed for the Idrive to make my phone workAbout their car
