BMW 1-Series Hatchback (2011 - 2019) 118d SE 5d Owner Review

It is nice to drive and is extremely economical for the engine size. The performance is good but not outstanding. My only complaint is that vision through the rear window is poor. This makes street parking quite difficult as you can't see how close you are to the vehicle behind when reverse parking. It was bad enough for me to purchase an after market parking sensor kit which solved the problem. So I would advise anyone who parks on the street a lot to look for a model with sensors fitted, they were an extra but many cars have them. Other than that it is a brilliant car, comfortable, quick enough, handles well and is very economical.
