A great car for most folk - go for something bigger if it would be for family use though.
In the early days luckily the warranty saved me from expensive work as there was a software issue and then an issue with a headlight but BMW promptly fixed these things and I was on my way.
Running costs are very good. Shop around for your servicing needs though as BMW can be expensive.
The 118i engine and gearbox is very good but I would have liked another 20-30bhp to make it that bit more fun to drive. The BMW iDrive is very good easy to use.
I do not regret buying this car at all and have no intention to sell yet as i approach 5 years of ownership from new.
