Summary
What does this car say about you?
Probably nothing good!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it mostly, though they enjoy laughing at its inability to make progress in the snow and the fact it's constantly got issues.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No, I'll be changing brand next time.
What are you likely to buy next?
Perhaps a Volvo, maybe back to Skoda.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£0
When did you buy the car?
August 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
Not really. We did get 7.5% off options without asking though, and a free umbrella but that doesn't count.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Tried the automatic & it was by far the best I'd used - better even than the DSG in our old Skoda. Promised MPG.
What was the dealer like?
Still the best marque in terms of customer service. Quietly professional, obliging with long weekend test drives.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Like a dream mostly, not in the snow. Fast & relatively frugal, you can get low 50's on a run without trying too hard though 48mpg is the calculated average.
What's it like to park?
Easy, it's a reasonable sized car that's relatively easy to judge. Optional parking sensors only sometimes work though.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Early model has teething problems; rusty seat rails, noisy interior fan (requires dealer fit filter to intake), PDC has been replaced but still broken. And the wheels have buckled all too readily.
What's most practical about your car?
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The standard iDrive screen is very easy to use and navigate around your music.
