BMW 2-Series Active Tourer (2014 - 2021) 225xe Luxury auto (04/2018 on) 5d Owner Review

So I’ve had this car for a week as a courtesy car and it’s terrible value for money. It averages 48mpg and that’s including me plugging it in overnight. It only ever has 23 electric miles shown after an overnight charge but actually has only reached 15 miles before running out. I’ve tried driving without heating etc on and in eco mode but makes little difference. My car I own is a 430d 3 litre diesel and it averages 40mpg on the same run and I don’t have to switch off my heated seats for better mpg. On a long journey I can reach 56mpg in my own car but in the plug-in hybrid I can’t only get around 45mpg. So for all that plugging in and spending money paying for your electricity and a card each month to plug it in in a public place it’s a total waste of money.
