No. Only because compacts stopped production in 2004 and this was the best one.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Private deal Did straight swap on my 2008 Fiat Bravo as I just missed having a sub 7 second car.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Always liked the idea of a big straight six in a smallish car and this one was nearby, so thought...why not.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Goes like stink!! Straight six loves to rev. Feels really planted on road too. Wasted a brand new 308 diesel the other day. The look on his face as this 13 year old warhorse left him for dead was priceless!!
What's it like to park?
Not bad at all.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nope...but very early days. It is a beemer, but a 13 year old one, so we will see. Drives well enough and all the toys work.
What's most practical about your car?
Good size boot, great turning circle .
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Cruise control, remote boot release (tailgate often opens all the way by itself) and electric 3/4 rear windows. Pointless, but cool.
