Economy
Value
Where else are you going to get all that BHP, delivered so smoothly when you need it for the money? Not to mention the trim. Mine had full leather, climate control, ASC, etc etc. Go for a high spec one if you can.
Costs
Not the cheapest car to run, mind you, the only repairs I had to do in two years of ownership was the throttle cable (cheap to fix) and the rear bushes (not so cheap but a common fault with all that power on the back end).

On the road
Driving
Superb, well OK, a litle wayward on the back end in the wet, but if you learn how to handle it its a gift rather than a curse!
Performance
Couldnt fault it, refined around town, smooth on the motorway and an absolute monster on A roads!

Living with it
Reliability
Well, its a 6 cylinder BMW - enough said.
Image
I've given this a four rather than a five simply on the basis that not everyone likes BMW drivers - dont expect to get let out at too many junctions!
Comfort
The only thing you need to be careful of is just how fast you might be travelling!

Security and Service
Security
Not the best, go for an aftermarket full closure system.
Service
Use an independent specialist garage, main dealers are costly. Having said that, a full main dealer service history is worthwhile when you come to sell.

Rear bushes are an issue. If you are buying be very wary of unpleasant engine noise. Worth getting it checked over by a specialist garage just after purchase.
