Summary
What does this car say about you?
Drug dealer/ wannabee gangsta.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all thought it was a silly car.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. It has dated particularly badly when compared to other cars of the same era. Hot hatches offer better performance but with more practicality and cheaper running costs.
What are you likely to buy next?
VW Golf GT TDI.

Didn't buy from a dealer

No
What price did you pay?
£2,000
When did you buy the car?
February 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
Paid the going rate. Rubbish re-sale value now though thanks to rising fuel and insurance prices.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
What was the dealer like?

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Smooth, quiet, refined and reasonably fast. Almost everything moves out of the way on the motorway and the grip around a B-road gave a good sense of stability. It guzzles fuel though, even on idle, not a good car for driving in heavy traffic and the pedal controls are so stiff the legs got a workout driving about town.
What's it like to park?
Surprisingly easy for the size of car.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Rear trailing arm bushes which was an expensive fix, a weight fell off the exhaust which was a pricey replacement, drivers side electric window had a mind of its own, the climate control was rubbish even with the aircon re-gassed, gear stick flopped to one side.
What's most practical about your car?
Not really a practical car but a decent cruiser with a fairly decent bootsize.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The engine, superbly smooth and quite powerful.
