Economy
Value
You cannot buy anything faster with relatively low insurance for this price. 30mpg on motorway being reasonably sensible, ~20-25mpg round town.
Costs
It's a beemer so parts can be a little more pricey - it's a quality car: avoid main dealer service/repair costs and search out specialists.

On the road
Driving
Fantastic drive, great roadholding except in wet - it's a powerful rear wheel drive car. Don't be afraid of high miles - they can take it and still drive like they just rolled off the production line if they have been serviced properly.
Performance
It's a quick car, no doubt, however ASC/traction control essential - and keep it turned on! Avoid stacking it into trees/ swopping ends coming off wet roundabouts with too much juice on.

Living with it
Reliability
Battery died although it was original one, so had done 6 years - otherwise no problems.
Image
328 sports is M3 kitted less £75 of plastic mesh and lip spoiler at the front and £150 M3 mirrors - it looks the dogs nuts.
Comfort
Mtec suspension best, still soaks up speedbumps admirably. Leather good quality, sports seats firm and comfortable even on long trips.

Security and Service
Security
CAT1 is standard fit on later models.
