BMW 3-Series Coupe (1999 - 2006) 318 Ci 16V 2d Owner Review

In their own words
I bought the car new in 2002 as it was what I always wanted. I love the Titanium silver colour which doesn't show the dirt. I up-speced the wheels to 17 inch & added a CD changer and folding mirrors. The engine is the 2.0L valvetronic version which is not the most powerful at 143bhp but is pretty good on fuel. It will achieve 45 to 46mpg on long runs which I think is a good return. I still love the shape of the E46 which in my opinion has stood the test of time. Friends, family and work colleagues still comment on how good it still looks.
It has one or two paint blemishes on it and a couple of the wheels have been kerbed but not severely. This car has been very reliable over the 19 years that I've owned it and so I have no complaints. Apart from a couple of coils, a crank sensor and two battery replacements, the only other component I've needed to replace is the ABS ECU due to the warning light coming on intermittently. The car is comfortable to drive and had good boot space. The rear seats also fold down to allow a through load which I've used on many occasions. I highly recommend this car and I've never regretted buying it. The only car I would ever have changed it for is the E46 M3. Well done BMW.
