Summary
What does this car say about you?
More money than sense!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
It's sporty and looks good.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. Far too many problems - and expensive ones at that - even on a car of this age. A Ford or Toyota would be far less troublesome. In fact, my 2002 C5 was trouble free by comparison.
What are you likely to buy next?
A Ford.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Where to start. For a premium brand that is supposed to be well engineered, there are some serious issues and engineering flaws with this car. The top guide on the timing chain is broken - needs a new guide and tensioner and I'm lucky the chain didn't jump or come off. Hopefully the chain is ok. Wishbone bushings are gone. Rear brake pipes are badly corroded - expensive and awkward fix. Brake vacuum pump is leaking and there are several other items on the list. If this was a FIAT it wouldn't surprise me but its a supposedly premium German car.
What's most practical about your car?
Rear seats fold - otherwise it's not practical. Front seats are comfortable and spacious.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Leather seats. Otherwise, it's gadget free.
