BMW 3-Series Coupe (2006 - 2013) 330i SE 2d Owner Review

In their own words
Great car but look keep money back for potential issues on the N53 engine. 2005 - 2006 cars will have the N52B30 which is the earlier more reliable engine this did not use the direct injection with the piezo injectors that were later employed on the N53 engined E92's. Fuel injectors, high pressure fuel pumps and coils can go wrong but many have already done so and subsequently have been replaced. A set of injectors (when one fails the rest are never far behind) will set you back 1200 quid as an example. They are easy to fit but will need to be properly coded by a suitable garage or BMW themselves Use 97 RON fuel as a minimum and don't thrash the car from cold and this will help. It's best to get into a 10/15 year old BMW with your eyes open, my car has so far only cost me a set of plugs and coils (425 quid all in including fitting) with me completing servicing myself. I have owned an E30 325 and a E36 325 (M50B25TU) and both were fantastic cars albeit not a patch on the E92 330i I own now. It's quick and utterly rewarding to drive. Buy one but keep a couple of grand back in reserve just in case.
