What does this car say about you?
Historical stigma associated with BMW and particularly the M3 is perhaps less than it once was with many of the drivers responsible for it's laddish image perhaps having been lured away to the Audio RS4 and C-Class AMG equivalents so the M3 is perhaps less "cool" than it used to be but probably says "I know my cars, I buy them because they good, not because they're cool".
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Friends and family love it. My neighbours are perhaps a little tired of being awoken by the rumble of the V8 when I arrive home in the early hours.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Definitely. Superb performance, pin-sharp handling, wind-in-the-hair fun with the roof down and rock-solid BMW reliability. A genuine drivers machine.

BMW M6 Convertible.

Performance. Handling. Folding metal roof.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Incredible machine to drive. Performance is breath-taking and matched with pin-sharp handling. Traditional loss of rigidity of convertible over coupe is far less apparent in 3-series E93 models and it looks and handles very close to the hard-top equivalent with the roof up.
What's it like to park?
Very easy. Very good all-round visibility and parking sensors front and back.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Minor trim and satnav fault resolved under warranty.
What's most practical about your car?
4 seats. Usable backseats, which is unusual for a sports convertible. Decent boot-size when roof not folded down.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Superb 7-speed DCT gearbox. Sumptuous naturally-aspirated 4l V8 Folding metal convertible roof. New iDrive infotainment with Internet access is brilliant and very clear/easy to use satnav.
