BMW 3-Series M3 Coupe (2001 - 2006) 2d SMG Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
The naturally aspirated 3.2 that won engine of the year for every year of production is a piece of engineering history.
Handles brilliantly whilst being slightly uncomfortable due to the obvious stiffness of the chassis.
The only issue with the design and build of this machine, are the brakes ... Seriously rubbish brakes.
Now comes the part you need to hear but probably have buried your head in the sand...if you are not mechanically minded like my self, you will spend a fortune getting things done at specialists...
My latest bill for rear pads and discs, a cam shaft o ring and a new water pump....£1800.
I had 3 or 4 similar bills last year for various jobs, some maintenance some mechanical.
It is not a cheap car to run, petrol tax and insurance are an absolute minor...if you have to worry about those then definitely avoid because like I said you get those big garage bills on top.
Having said all that I love the car regardless and will never sell it.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
A very exciting car to drive, not the quickest by today's standards, but I never have been a turbo fan. Love the power delivery and the noise of the car.
