Summary
What does this car say about you?
I am only 27 so this car says I earn good money doing what I do. It says I am a speed freak who appreciates quality (hence the reason I never bought an Evo or Impreza).
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
My Dad is dead jealous. He has an X5 which he thought was the best thing since sliced bread. Not any more. My friends think its awesome but I think I have put a few noses out of joint within the family. Oh well ce la vie
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would buy this car again if only to get a newer model. Won't be looking at the new shape one though as it doesn't push any buttons for me.
What are you likely to buy next?
Only had it two weeks so I am just enjoying the experience. But I think my next car will be an M5 or maybe the one saloon I think is miles better than the M3, an Audi RS4. Unfortunatly thats a little bit out of my price range at the minute.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£17,000
When did you buy the car?
September 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
£17,000 for a 2001 M3 with full service history, private M3 plate, TV/Sat Nav, 53,000 on the clock. I think I got a good deal.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Always been in love with the M3. Now in a position where I can not only afford to buy one but also run the thing.
What was the dealer like?
Extremely helpful. Was an independent BMW approved dealership.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Absolutely awesome. Acceleration is simply breathtaking with an exhaust note to match. I bought ones with 18" wheels specifically as they make the ride much more bearable than the 19" wheels do.
What's it like to park?
I drive HGV lorries for a living so I find it a doddle. It has rear parking sensors as standard which helps the wife as parking is not really her strong point. Saying that for a coupe rear visibility is quite good anyway.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Only had it two weeks so nothing yet touch wood.
What's most practical about your car?
I have a child and for a coupe space in the rear is suprisingly good. Boot is a fair old size as well.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Favourite gadget has to be the TV. Reception is not brilliant and the screen is as big as a postage stamp but how many other people can say they have a TV in the car. Now all I need is a miniture Sky dish.
