Summary
What does this car say about you?
Style over substance.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They love all the chrome, the retro looks and the sound of that engine!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, but not as a daily driver. I'd probably go for a mint convertible model and have it as a weekend car.
What are you likely to buy next?
E36 325i

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£450
When did you buy the car?
April 2006
Did you get a good deal and why?
Georgeous styling, 2 litre six cylinger engine, M-Tec kit, alloys, sunroof, OBC electric everything, oodles of chrome and 80,000 miles for £450. I think that is a very good deal.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Always wanted a BMW, and just loved the retro style of the E30s. Found this nice 320i SE Auto in amazing condition for next to nothing. 20 years old and only 80,000 miles on the clock!
What was the dealer like?
Don't use the "Stealers", not much point on a car as old as this. Independent specialist is always the way to go unless your car is brand new.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Suspension is a bit primative, otherwise a lovely car to drive, very smooth and refined.
What's it like to park?
Easy.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing other than a flat battery (because I left the lights on). Can't buy cars with engines as bullet proof as this now-a-days. Little bit rust on the rear arches as expected on a 20 year old car.
What's most practical about your car?
Nothing except the fact it was so cheap to buy. Fuels costs are astronomical, thanks to the auto box and strangled 2 litre engine.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
OBC, kick down.
