I am lucky - my garage has a very good line on second-hand BMW bits. Very handy when looking for those little bits that may be missing / damaged on older cars.

Yes, tail happy in the wet, but great fun when you get used to it. Steering is positive with good all-round visibility.

Can feel a bit sluggish at low revs, but get above 4000 revs and it takes off nicely. Lovely BMW sound from the engine when pushed.

Currently 154,590 miles. I have only coverd 6000 of these myself, but no problems yet. It still feels fresh and lively.

Black 3 series BMW - one of the only cars that I have owned that strangers will pass positive comments on. Great on the eye. You decide: £1200, Cavalier or BMW? Decisions, decisions!

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Excellent dash and controls. Seats pretty good, but a little more side and lumbar support required. Leg / headroom for driver good (I'm 6' 4"). Back passengers bit limited on legroom.
