BMW 3-Series Saloon 323i 2d (1983/A) Owner Review

Economy
Value
So what if it's a little more than a 325? It's rarer and half a second quicker to 60!
Costs
It's a BMW, what do you expect? (engines are very good though).

On the road
Driving
Totally fantastic. Real power ar*e-out-action all the way. Give me another roundabout, please!
Performance
With 150bhp standard, they ain't slow (I have had mine at 135-up, but mine is played with a little!)

Living with it
Reliability
Only silly things (bulbs going once in a blue moon and backbox falling apart) but I think that's due to it being an ansa.
Image
The birds love a beemer (especially when the BMW has just munched and spat out a bodykitted Pugeot 1.9 (you know who you are!)
Comfort
'90 spec interior an advantage (better quality - seats don't bend like on older models).

Security and Service
Security
Fit an alarm/immobiliser 'cos if they want it, they'll try to nick it.
Service
My local dealers can get anything I need, even if it takes a couple of days to come from Germany.
