Economy
Value
Great value for money you can pick one of these up for quite cheap these days and they keep on running regardless of how much you push it.
Costs
Costs are fairly cheap, but then they are old cars now. You pick up a good one between £800-£2500, depending on how low or high the mileage is and condition etc.

On the road
Driving
The old 2.5i drives better than most new cars. Typical German engineering don't be to heavy footed in the rain though as the car loves going side ways!
Performance
Performance is great the 2.5 six cylinder has a nice grunt about it and has good mid range torque keep your foot down and it does around 140 mph.

Living with it
Reliability
I have done over 25000 and never had any engine problems the 6 cylinder engine is well capable of 180,000 plus miles mine has 130,000 and runs great and still gives Clio 182, serious stress on the way up to crail!
Image
the image is great on the e30 325i old school BMW, well built and engineered.
Comfort
Considering how old these cars are they are roomy and refined, on the motor way you can cruise for miles the noise level is low and seats are very supportive, the car is more comfortable than a lot of new cars I have drove today.

Security and Service
Security
Basic BMW standard fit immobiliser and alarm. My 325i has never been stolen so it seems well secure.
Service
fair price to service these truly amazing cars.
