Economy
Value
Cheap and well made. Not dull like a Golf.
Costs
Parts are cheap from dealers. What's the fuss all about!? Cost no more than a Pugeot to run and is better built.

On the road
Driving
Steering could be better, but otherwise ok. Handling is great. Goes where you want it to...
Performance
Mine is quite quick. Not 0-60, but from 50-120 it pulls all the way where Fords and Vauxhalls stop! It's got torque rather than BHP. Put a K&N replacement filter in and take the induction pipe off the box.

Living with it
Reliability
Radiator and window wiper relay went, but it's a common problem. Relay was £90 though - secondhand £10, sorted.
Image
Good. Women drool when slammed with 19"s and bodykitted with a quality kit like Autograph!
Comfort
Good, but bigger wheels cause road noise, but uprated suspension is smooth, unlike any other I have put any suspension on.

Security and Service
Security
Cat 2 alarm good for insurance.
Service
Batemens BMW in Cumbria are the best.

Air box was made to keep induction noise down by BMW resulting in less power and torque. K&N it.
