Economy
Value
Fantastic value, was 22k new and still looks fresh in silver factory bodykit.
Costs
No matter how much I clog it, the computer still reads out 35 mpg. Insurance 14 so not too bad, make sure you get the axle and auto box oil changed regularly. Do the engine oil and filter yourself. Deserves to be looked after well.

On the road
Driving
Great 5 speed auto box, with 3 settings. Fast from stand still, surprises hatchback boyracers at the lights and exec cruisers in the fast lane. Even more coming on the motorway from 40-70mph.
Performance
Ridiculously fast for a diesel, has more torque than the 325 petrol version. Perfect balance of speed and economy. Power can be upped by chipping from an already substantial 143 hp to over 180 hp for £300.

Living with it
Reliability
Starts first time every time. Look after it and it'll last forever. Make sure you get a good TDS, and whatever you do, don't settle for the underpowered 115hp TD.
Image
With bodykit, spoiler and lowered suspension it looks fantastic. Gets loads of admiring looks from people who can't guess its an 11 yr old car, plenty of people look at the lights (how vain?) Put a cheap private plate on and you're laughing.
Comfort
Very comfortable plush black seats.
