  • Economy

    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

Not a bad standard spec, but needed body coloured door handles to finish it off! CD player not standard when mine was brand new, which cost an extra £100.

    Costs

    5 out of 5 5.0

Consistently returns 52mpg. Company car so don't know about any other running costs or servicing!

  • On the road

    Driving

    5 out of 5 5.0

Fantastic - Postitive steering, sharp cornering and good braking make this an all round driver's car whilst still being frugal on diesel!

    Performance

    1 out of 5 1.0

A far superior diesel engine compared to anything that was around when I ordered mine. Can beat most other rivals off the lights!

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

Apart from a turbo failure caused by the cracking of the oil sump dropping it down a kerb, no problems at all!

    Image

    4 out of 5 4.0

Getting common on the road, meaning that the image is getting a little bland!

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Without a lumbar support cushion, I got a terrible bad back, but with it I can drive all day long and feel fresh!

  • Security and Service

    Security

    5 out of 5 5.0

Alarm/immobiliser as standard means security is high - lots of red flashing lights are a strong deterrent.

    Service

    5 out of 5 5.0

BMW service is far superior to any other dealer I have dealt with.

  • Problems and Ownership
