BMW 3-Series Saloon (2005 - 2011) 318i SE 4d Owner Review

A relatively comfortable and relatively fun car to drive, but this is outweighed by the terrible quality and frequent expensive repairs. For a 2-litre engine it drank fuel, all while stinking of the oil it was burning. It never failed to break down every other month and with that came a hefty bill for overpriced parts. Although the car is rather practical and comfortable, it was never a car that exceeded expectations. Rather, it failed. More was expected from a BMW. If your heart is set on a 3-Series, go for the older E46 generation. It's better designed, better built, and more reliable. Then again, it doesn't take much to be more reliable than the E90.
