BMW 3-Series Saloon (2005 - 2011) 320d ED 4d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I bought this car with 83k on the clock. I've owned it for nearly 6 yrs and it's now done 135k. I've never had a fault with it. The car still drives perfectly - no rattles, squeaks or knocks and is totally reliable. Only things ever replaced - a light bulb, oil, brake pads. Even the front tyres did 50k. (not run-flats) Performance - balanced, predictable ride and easy to handle. Acceleration - adequate for most (8secs to 60) turbo comes in around 1800rpm. Great on motorways A roads - plenty of power beyond 60. Top speed 140. Fuel economy it's a joke really. I did over 800 miles on one tank on a return trip from Essex to Scotland with some left over - I wasn't driving to save fuel. The mpg is always well above 60 including short runs. As I was so surprised by the comsumption, I did check the mileage over a year with what I'd spent and 65mpg was average. Interior is good quality - many extras are optional. Annoyingly, split-fold rear seats are an optional extra so most will not have it. Costs? £20 road tax - would I buy another ? Of course and would recommend it to anyone.
How reliable do you find the car?
Never had a problem. Only routine wear and tear replacments - brake pads, wipers, oil changes etc.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
