Brilliant car, coming from TDI engines i love that it doesn't have the usual diesel tractor sound, still looks like an expensive motor even though its 11 years old now being an M Sport, the dash creaks inside which gets quite annoying. Mines is on 152,000 miles now never had any major issues.
How reliable do you find the car?
Thermostat's being a common problem on these models, look out for engine temperature not getting to the standard 90ish degrees, car doesn't do very well on MPG when not at correct running temperature. Not an expensive part from BMW.About their car
