Did you get a good deal and why?
The price I paid was pretty much bang on at the time, compared to all the others on sale.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Smooth powerful engine, automatic gearbox and stunning looks.
What was the dealer like?
Below average. Service book went 'missing' and wasn't that helpful; bought the right car from the wrong dealer.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
I'm lucky as it's one of the very early 3 litre variants, as opposed to the earlier 2.5 (although it's still badged as a 325i). Being a straight six, it's unbelievably smooth, sounds simply wonderful and possesses and excellent turn of speed; it's quite difficult to hold it back below 70mph on a motorway as it just wants to keep going faster.
What's it like to park?
Not bad, rear parking sensors fitted as standard so it's not too difficult. Being the M sport model though, it can be quite easy to kerb the alloys, so it's worth parking a couple of inches away from the kerb instead of right next to it to make things easier.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Had replacement high pressure fuel pump, but other than that only routine jobs, such as new discs and pads and service bits. ABS sensors and rings require changing as they've gone to pot and keep tripping out the traction control etc. but this is a common BMW fault anyway.
What's most practical about your car?
The boot is surprisingly big for a small saloon, but rear legroom is very tight for adults in the back.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Optional flappy paddle gearbox. Cost £1000 on the options sheet when the car was new, and is an extremely rare option on a 3 series. Changes are much crisper and quicker than using the 'joystick', but I can still use either to change gear which gives me the best of both worlds.
