Summary
What does this car say about you?
A person with some pretentions to append and class but still needs his comforts.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
It is generally well liked.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No, as I am getting on a bit, I would trade the performance and handling for a quieter and perhaps a more comfortable and more economic ride!
What are you likely to buy next?
Probably a Merc.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£22,000
When did you buy the car?
September 2011
Did you get a good deal and why?
I did, the original price was £39k+ and to get a car of this quality with less than 9000 miles was a great deal.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Purchased from my brother.
What was the dealer like?

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fabulous, more performance than one could possibly use legally and being a diesel it never complains about what gear is being used. Handling also superb. Not the most comfortable ride, and should be quieter. As a driver's car, there is little to improve other than while driving the ca in step mode it could be a little quicker to react to the paddle shift.
What's it like to park?
Straight forward. Note that unless one is manoeuvring very slowly, the parking sensors tend to lag and therefore fool you.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No problems at all (now done 13000 miles and first service due). However, I think it is too noisy for a prestige car and the implantation of rain sensing wipers and parking sensors is inferior to my previous VW Golf. The standard seats are also uncomfortable!!
What's most practical about your car?
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Heated steering wheel, satnav, and I drive are all excellent.
