BMW 3-Series Saloon (2012 - 2019) 320d Luxury 4d Step Auto Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I have experience of 2 x BMW 320d's one mine (13plate) and one my brothers (62plate) .I have done 104k and plan to keep until 150k he had his from new and went to 168k then sold it to our eldest brother. These two cars have been faultless. Normal oil changes and filters fluids etc and once over 100,000 suggest oil change every 10k. Very very good vehicles and both cars still pull like trains even at such high miles. Recommended. The 8 speed zf auto is a must. No need for manual gearbox This was and maybe still is the best auto box on this class of car. I will replace it with the next Gen 3 when it is a year or so old (2020-21) Meanwhile the car is still very good. Written this Jan 19 having purchased the car June 14. The STAR clicks above did not seem to work so if they contradict what I am saying here please ignore them. I cannot recommend these cars enough. Just make sure they are run long trips regularly to avoid the DPF re-gen that may happen if you chug around town too much. Switch them into SPORT and kick down and feel them go. Drive like Miss Daisy and tootal around and you will get 65+ on long runs ( 100+ miles etc). Best car I have owned due to - reliability and MPG and I enjoy driving it. Never let me down despite living in Manchester and working in London so car was worked regularly and is first class.Buy one to drive it !!
How reliable do you find the car?
no issues whatsoever. Purchased the car in May 14 at 11 months old at 15k and it now stands at 104k and I plan to keep it until 150k+. My brother ran same car as company car from new to 168k and sold it to my other brother. Absolutely faultless his and mine. Lots of motorway miles on both. Once + 100k would suggest an oil and filter change every 10kAbout their car
