BMW 3-Series Touring (2005 - 2012) 320i SE 5d Auto Owner Review

Lives up to its reputation of being a drivers car but is also supremely refined. Fit and finish brings joy to me every time I get in; at 15 years old still no squeaks or creaks in the cabin. Love the fact you can get fresh air to your face at the same time as heat to other parts of the car. Well thought out electronics- customisable indicators for instance and setting certain features to the key fob is a nice idea. Inexplicably doesn’t have water a temp meter - just a warning symbol. Fitted with winter tyres Alpin A5 at the back and cross climates at the front - has been sure footed especially in winter conditions. Still has its foibles though: Bought in 2018 with business audio only working when cold (common fault). No drain holes in battery compartment meant battery sat in water for 6 months till terminals eroded - luckily not too expensive to fix. Small oil leak from engine that has been looked at multiple times before being 98% fixed. Best car I have ever owned. Still feels special every time I get in. And I always know I’m going to enjoy the drive
