Would you buy this car again and why?
Absolutely no doubt. However this is a rather niche choice and fits people with certain needs and priorities. Right now, this car is perfect.
What are you likely to buy next?
The same one but hopefully with the benefit of xDrive (4WD) capability if it comes available.

No real discount but the finance package was competitive to ease the disappointment!
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Wanted a large family hatchback with usual German design, engineering and build standards.
What was the dealer like?
Very mixed sales experience in terms of responsiveness and general attitude. The car handover process was fine.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Incredibly refined, almost silent. Ride is good except over potholes which cause judders. The general handling and acceleration are typical BMW, i.e. excellent.
What's it like to park?
This is a large car and rear visibility is very restricted due to the coupe roofline and high boot. Parking sensors and camera help but there is no getting away from the fact it is easier to park forward than in reverse.

Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing so far.
What's most practical about your car?
The sliding and reclining rear seats are brilliant and allow you to make neat trade offs between rear legroom and boot space to suit your various needs.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Panoramic sunroof is lovely and makes an already spacious cabin very airy. The telematics and sat nav are first rate. Ambient lighting makes driving the car at night a treat too.
