The 2011 BMW M5 was an impressive driver’s car that undid a lot of what its predecssor got wrong. The V8 engine, blessed with all the power you’ll ever need, might be thirsty, but it delivers instant narcotic punch making it a great driver’s car.
The generously-sized interior means that you, plus your passengers, will be able to enjoy the best performance you’ll encounter on the road, this side of a fully-fledged supercar. Recommended, but if you’re buying one, make sure it’s from a specialist and it comes with a cast-iron full service history.
