BMW 5-Series Saloon 3.8 4d (1992/J) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Seems dear for a 10 year old car, but worth every penny.
Costs
Dealers not to bad, but cheap motoring from specialists.

On the road
Driving
A true driver's car. Does what you want, when you want. It's a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Performance
340bhp standard from a family saloon - beats most cars on the road when modified like mine.

Living with it
Reliability
Owned 4 BMWs before and not one has ever let me down, even with 200,000 miles on the clock.
Image
A true poser's car when you have got it looking right. Big, wide, great sound - better than Subarus and cossies any day.
Comfort
Great driving position. Very comfy with sports leather seats. Could just do with a bit more driver's legroom.

Security and Service
Security
Good standard security. I've uprated to total closure Cat 1 system.
Service
Generally very happy and helpful. Great customer support, even for a 10 year old car.
