Value
From a buyers prospective top marks. I don't think there is anything equivalent to this on the UK second hand car market. Under six grand for a five year old BMW and the most highly rated one too- you really can't go wrong. When cleaned looks fantastic!
Costs
Thery are juicy- A 2.5 Straight6 24valve will be, but i only use on weekends and live in the suburbs so its no big thing-servicing will be steep too, but considering the quality of the car worth it.

On the road
Driving
It had covered 104,000 miles when i got it, but drives like brand new. Solid and smooth and you can throw it about a bit too.
Performance
Effortless cruising- glides to 90mph, but the power readily available for overtaking or leaving someone on the motorway - best gears for pick up are 2nd and 3rd big sluggish out of 1st

Living with it
Reliability
Nothing has gone wrong- I gave it some fuel and oil treatment to which it responded very well. A slight niggle with the third break light, but nothing else at all!
Image
As i'm only 26 people think it's my dads- others say its very smart- Some people think i've got a payrise- generally something you feel proud to drive. Looks and handles superbly
Comfort
I have the cloth version and it's very comfy indeed- i don' find myslef constantly adjusting my driving position or seat

Security and Service

Service
My dad has a BMW 3 series and when you get it serviced make sure they dont start adding uneccesary things on which you don't need- Greedy Boys
