Summary
What does this car say about you?
Bit posh when once you have a ride and realize the economy you understand.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Love it. Leg room in back is not quite as good as others suggest, especially with two tall front seat occupants
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. This car had the option that I most needed. A new car would have cost considerably more. I was also glad that I did not buy new as BMW uprated the engine a few months later.
What are you likely to buy next?
Probably the next generation 520d SE. Not the M Sport as I can live with out the body kit, expensive alloy/tyres and sports suspension.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes. Vehicle ex demo. Quite high mileage for age (8K) but all minor faults/damage repaired and vehicle in show room condition. Also fitted with tracker.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
This vehicle is fitted with Load through rear seats. This was the essential extra that I wanted on a saloon and is somewhat rare on used vehicles

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Superb driving experience. Likes to be driven hard to get the best. But when cruising on m/way gives flawless ride and economy. Got to be careful when pulling out on roundabouts if your not in right gear or giving it a bit of extra right foot then you can get caught out! Sport seats are one of the better M sport advantages and the part leather is very comfortable.
What's it like to park?
Here's the down side. Yes its huge and difficult to see the corners. Parking sensors are essential but if you trust them you end up parking in the middle of the street as they err on the side of caution and don't account for high kerbs which can ground the body kit.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No
What's most practical about your car?
Load through rear seats. This is £300+ option and quite rare on used vehicles. Fuel economy is also good for car of this size.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Cruise control system is superb with ability to increase/decrease speed in 5mph increments
